Run PrettifyTest as a Bazel java_test Wire the existing PrettifyTest as a java_test via rules_jvm_external (JUnit 4) so "bazelisk test //..." runs it. The source/ and result/ sample data is packaged as Java resources and loaded from the classpath via getResourceAsStream, rather than through working-directory-relative paths. PrettifyTest used to shell out to a bundled Windows diff.exe to write a .diff file on mismatch. That path is dead weight in this fork, which targets Linux/macOS only, and on *nix ProcessBuilder cannot start the .exe -- so a real mismatch surfaced as a NullPointerException from process.waitFor() instead of the intended assertion. Drop the diff generation and the bundled diffutils binaries; failures are already reported via fail() with the expected and actual output. The comments in prettify.parser.Prettify are authoritative but the lexer should work on a number of languages including C and friends, Java, Python, Bash, SQL, HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, Makefiles and Rust. It works passably on Ruby, PHP, VB, and Awk and a decent subset of Perl and Ruby, but, because of commenting conventions, doesn't work on Smalltalk, or CAML-like languages.
LISPy languages are supported via an extension: prettify.lang.LangLisp.
And similarly for Clojure, CSS, Go, Haskell, Lua, OCAML, SML, F#, Matlab, Nemerle, Protocol Buffers, Scala, SQL, TeX, LaTeX, VHDL, Visual Basic, WikiText, XQuery, and YAML.
