# Gerrit User Summit 2026
The Gerrit Community is pleased to announce the **2026 Gerrit User Summit**, hosted at the
[Google offices in Sunnyvale, California](location.html).
The Gerrit User Summit is the event that brings together Gerrit admins, developers, practitioners,
and the whole community in one place, providing attendees with the opportunity to learn, explore,
network face-to-face, and help shape the future of Gerrit development and solutions.
## User Summit
The Gerrit User Summit 2026 will take place in **Sunnyvale, CA** on **November 9-10** and is open
to anyone who wishes to attend, provided they [register to the event](https://luma.com/h8c7b5xo).
Join the User Summit 2026 where the Gerrit community unites for two days of collaboration,
learning, and innovation to drive the future of code review.
The event will also include a **JJ Mini Summit**, co-hosted with the Jujutsu community,
featuring talks dedicated to JJ a testament to how well the two ecosystems complement each other
and thrive together.
## Hackathon
Following the User Summit, **NVIDIA** is hosting a 3-day hackathon at their
offices in Santa Clara.
Unlike most previous hackathons, this event is centered around a
single collaborative goal. We hope attendees will contribute ideas,
code, testing, and operational experience toward making partial
clones a practical replacement for Git LFS across the Git/Gerrit
ecosystem.
Git LFS introduces additional infrastructure, operational complexity,
and workflow friction. Partial clones are intended to provide a
native, scalable alternative, and this hackathon is an opportunity
for the community to work together to close the remaining gaps.
Whether you're a Git/Gerrit developer, maintain Git infrastructure,
or have operational experience with Git LFS or partial clones and can
help validate solutions with real-world use cases, we'd love to have
you join the NVIDIA hackathon.
