Use Debian buster as docker image base This change adds support for Java 11, keeping Java 8 for now as a default, for not breaking compatibility with existing builds. The set-java.sh utility allows to switch between Java 8 and Java 11, enabling the full E2E testing of Gerrit in a pure Java 11 environment also outside of a Bazel execution. Adapt the other components of the build to the new packages provided by Debian buster. Change-Id: Ifda364809f0597f6dc782a0c5da886670d1b4326
This project uses Jenkins Jobs Builder [1] to generate jobs from yaml descriptor files.
To add new jobs reuse existing templates, defaults etc. as much as possible. E.g. adding a job to build an additional branch of a project may be as easy as adding the name of the branch to an existing project.
To ensure well readable yaml-files, use yamllint [2] to lint the yaml-files. Yamllint can be downloaded using Python Pip:
pip3 install yamllint
To run the linter, execute this command from the project's root directory:
yamllint -c yamllint-config.yaml jenkins/**/*.yaml
Yamllint will not fix detected issues itself.
