  "message": "Ignore submodule on checkout instead of deleting it\n\nThe purpose of this commit is to prevent destruction of\nsubmodules on checkout from a tree with a submodule to\nanother. For consistency we handle the reverse case too,\nwhen we checkout a branch that has a submodule and the\nsubmodule directory exists.
